Claudia Aguirre is an education expert who has worked at New York City Public Schools (NYCPS) as an education administrator since 2020 and provides instructional and policy guidelines to principals. As an educator supporting multilingual learners and strengthening school instruction, Claudia Aguirre has worked closely with district leaders and educators to implement rigorous academic programs that align with citywide and state educational goals.

Claudia Aguirre also provides instructional and policy guidance to improve teaching practices and academic outcomes for multilingual learners (MLLs) and English language learners (ELLs). She supports school leaders in implementing the chancellor’s vision to reimagine student learning experiences and deliver rigorous academic programs that promote achievement and equity.

Ms. Aguirre advances equity across schools by supporting the implementation of the advanced teacher development and evaluation system. She guides instructional leaders, teachers, and principals in building culturally responsive learning environments and ensures that educators are equipped to deliver instruction that empowers students as active contributors to their communities. She also builds leadership capacity among district MLL liaisons so they can effectively use data to improve student learning outcomes.
